Course Description.
An intensive study of the structure and function of the human body. Explores body systems from the cellular level to the whole organism, with emphasis on homeostasis and the clinical application of anatomical knowledge in patient assessment.
Course Topics.

1 Introduction to the Human Body
Overview of levels of organization, body systems, and anatomical terminology.

2 Chemical Level of Organization
Basics of chemistry, water, pH, and biological macromolecules.

3 Cellular Level of Organization
Structure and function of the cell membrane, cytoplasm, and organelles.

4 Tissue Level of Organization
Types of tissues: epithelial, connective, muscle, and nervous.
